It's a branch of the Metro-North Line that runs between New Canaan and Stamford with an occasional stop at Talmadge Hill, New Canaan's other station before heading for New York City. The New Canaan branch is a local that operates every hour every day of the year. I used to commute to New York City from New Canaan so I know the commute well. It's a beautifully restored train station about 42 miles from Grand Central Terminal in New York City. Every convenience surrounds this historic train station, "The Next Station to Heaven."
